This R package implements the multidivtime approach for molecular dating by connecting the C programs 'baselm' (written by Ziheng Yang), 'estbranches' (written by Jeffrey Thorne), and 'multidivtime' (also written by J. Thorne) in a pipeline. These programs are not part of the package and must be installed separately.

LAGOPUS includes functions for formatting and checking the input data, setting priors, carrying out the multidivtime analysis, and displaying the output.

Installation

The source code of LAGOPUS has been installed successfully on Mac OS X and Linux. For installation under Windows, please refer to the corresponding manual on CRAN.
